If you're buying a set from us, all pickups will work together seamlessly. If you're buying a single pickup, all you need to worry about is Coil Direction.

Guys,
I just purchased and installed the split steel poled tele pickup and I just wanted to say I have not been able to put the guitar down! Truly amazing tone. It’s still got the spank you might expect from a stock tele bridge pickup, but the p90 warmth and grunt and absolutely no 60cycle hum. Amazing design! I thought i’d give this a try because I already have a stock 71 tele and the fender pickups that I bought for this one were ridiculously microphonic and made the guitar unusable for a gig. I could talk to truckers on I-95 with my guitar!! (not really) Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks.

This pickup is a great option for achieving hum cancelling, traditional appearance, and the spit and bite of a P90. Highly adjustable with lots of warm clarity and air, unlike many stacked, single-coil-sized humbuckers that sound plugged up with an ice pick top edge. Highly recommended!
-
I purchased a SPLIT STEEL POLED TELE pickup to To complement a JBE Danny Gatton neck pickup on my project custom built Tele and “wow” man it sound great !!! The sound I was totally what I was looking for….
A warm ,fat & punchy but still retaining some top end sparkle that really cuts through the mix …
Thank you ! Lindy Fralin ,
for a great pickup and steering me in the right direction for the sound I was looking for. -
I installed the normal-wind pickup in a swamp ash Telecaster with 500k pots. There is plenty of clarity and articulation, just no shrillness. It can produce a really pretty and round clean sound but there’s enough snap and attack to still do Tele things.

Perfect Fit
I put my split steel pole in my Esquire copy; man, it just sings now. Playing clean, it’s just crisp and clear as a bell. Turn on some dirt or overdrive and this thing snarls with the perfect amount of midrange. It’s a beautiful thing. Just recently I plugged my Esquire into an octave up fuzz that I was about to give up on, but the split steel pole through a fuzz box is the creamiest, most perfect fuzz I’ve ever heard. This pickup has made my Esquire sound exactly how I’ve envisioned it should. Absolutely brilliant.

This pickup adds the extra beef that a traditional single-coil lacks, as I am a humbucker player. This comes close to the body of a P90 and is aggressive with a ton of attack. I highly recommend it.
-
Split Steel is it
This pickup is an absolute gem. I play many styles and it’s as versatile as it gets. Totally quiet at any volume setting. From hi-gain to the hi plains it does it all. Thank you Lindy you have a winner, as usual!
-
Split Steel Pole Tele – Stock wind – Great pick up for giving your telecaster some Gibson midrange flavor. The pickup has great top-end clarity as described. The pickup is super sensitive to picking attack and can almost sound like the volume knob is slightly turned down when attack is light. Lean in hard and it hits the front end of the amp providing great growl and medium break up. Awesome control. It works great with overdrive and distortion pedals. And best of all its quiet:-)

100% Satisfaction
I converted a Tele to an Esquire with the Split Steel Poled Bridge Pickup. It turned a well-made but uninspiring guitar into a lifetime keeper. Amazing tone and clarify. I’ll be upgrading another similar one as soon as the rewind shop opens back up!

Balanced, sweet, and no hum!
I was building a custom Tele and wanted a sweet-sounding Tele bridge pickup that would match well with a CuNiFe wide-range humbucker in the neck position. Lindley suggested the Split Steel Pole pup and WOW was he spot on. Now, one of my favorite pickups.

Awesome Pickups!
After speaking with the guys at Fralin, I decided to go for a P92 in the neck and split steel poled in the bridge of my MJT VTT Tele. This is a killer combo. Plenty of fender Tele spank in the bridge without being harsh – an even, clean and bright tone in the middle, and a punchy warm, and articulate tone in the neck. And all very quiet due to the hum canceling. I love it. Highly recommended!!

-
Absolutely amazing tele bridge pickup!! Such a strong sound. Changed how I think about the tele bridge sound.
-
Plenty of twang! A fabulous pickup, with plenty of twang and bite.
-
Excellent!
What somehow sounds like opposite attractions become united in this fantastic pickup: bold and twangy at the same time. Exactly what a Tele should sound like! And all this without the hum!
-
Split Steel Poled Tele – Stock – Sounds awesome – loving it! Thanks, Lindy!
-
Phenomenal pickup!
I put the Split Steel Poled pickup in an Esquire and now it’s my main guitar! Love the pickup. -
My 2 cents
P 90s are my favorite pickup, I’m very happy with the tone I like the naturally overdriven sound I get for it at low volume with my Magnatone Twilighter, at the higher volume it sparkles and screams. It combined with the steel pole 42 neck pickup the tone is throaty and has a gut sound that sound gutty. All while maintaining piercing clear highs.

Pickups are great and exceed my expectations. Split Poled Poled Tele is very dynamic, the notes are very jumping, and very elastic, perfect
thank you very much. I will keep it forever
