Here's how we wind and magnetize our pickups:
If you're buying a set from us, all pickups will work together seamlessly. If you're buying a single pickup, all you need to worry about is Coil Direction.
To ensure your pickup will work, make sure you select multiple leads (2-Conductor, 3-Conductor, or 4-Conductor if available), or the 3-Wire modification so you can reverse the coil direction, if need be.

Top Shelf
I love it. This is an amazing pickup. Blends perfectly with the Sunbucker in the neck. Great communication and service. Thanks, Lindy & company! Y’all really are top shelf. Rock on!

Hear what was in my head
May seem silly but its true , I now hear what I was thinking I should hear from my guitar and my rig. What more could one ask for, you don’t want to put your guitar down and when you do you cannot wait to pick it up again.

Just what I was looking for
I’m a P90 fan and fine the usual telecaster bridge pickup to be a bit too bright for my liking. This silent pickup gives you a nice full mid-range without the ice-pick through the eye-socket. But it will still twang when you’re chicken’ picking’. Not a peep of noise out of it. I’m in love with it.

Split pole bridge
Twangy cleans, fat crunchy overdriven tones, and dead quiet, an absolute winner

Loved the pickup initially, but wanted to wait on a review. After putting it through its paces… love it even more.
I converted my Tele to an Esquire, and being a single-pickup guitar, it needed to cover a lot of ground. As advertised, it has the qualities you love in a P90, but retains its Tele DNA. If pressed, I’d say it’s 60% traditional Tele and 40% old school P90. Basically, it looks and sounds Tele.
Being a self-described cork-sniffing tone junkie, I admit, I was weary of a ceramic magnet; haven’t owned a ceramic pup in many years. I’ve owned dozens of pups over the years wound by the world’s best, on vintage machines, with every imaginable ingredient, and this thing is among the best.
It’s extremely quiet. My Tele was the new Ultra series, with the new generation 5 vintage noiseless pickups. Honestly, I liked the stock bridge pickup a lot. Very quiet. Very nice vintage tone. Dynamic. A really nice pickup, albeit a bit thin, but that’s a Tele. But, Fender had to brand it with its “noiseless” logo, which I hated. I scoured my noiseless options, and landed on this. It’s literally everything I loved about the stock pickup, but a little better in every regard. Quieter. More dynamic. Fuller. Great vintage flavor (I like mid/late ‘60s garage/blues/psychedelic and ‘70 proto-punk). No kidding, it’s quieter than my humbucker equipped guitars.
It’s kinda funny. Many years ago, I thought a design of two coils side-by-side for a noiseless single coil would be a no brainer, but it didn’t exist. Now, here we are.
Long story short, a great pickup. I also had a few questions during the process, and they were extremely prompt and helpful, even answered the phone after business hours.
If you’re curious, here’s the gear I run it through. 1967 Fender Bassman 2×12. Blackstar HT 1×12. Vintage distortion, overdrive, and fuzz boxes. Lots of different delay types. Works great straight in and with all my pedals.

Extra Bright
This pick-up makes a nice complement o the Hum-Cancelling P90. -
This is my second time purchasing this pickup but this time, I got the normal number of winds for a full thicker sound. I used this in conjunction with Lindy’s p90 neck pickup as a custom set. Upon installing it and hearing it, there was a phasing issue with it when used in the middle position – thin and whimp sounds. As it turns out, there was an issue with the magnets themselves. Mistakes do happen so I totally understand. I talked to Lindy over the phone and apologized for the magnet issue. He had me sent it back on his dollar and the issue was resolved quickly. I appreciate his willingness to make it right for me and taking the time to explain what happened. Great sounding quality pickup and even better customer service. This is why I keep coming back for more. Thanks again!

I bought this pickup based on some reviews I read online and I am not disappointed. It has a great tone and is totally silent! I really like this pickup!

Like having a second guitar.
Absolutely fantastic mod to my dear old Tele…I was thinking about dropping a pile of cash on a G&L ASAT with the P-90’s to get this sound but now I just flip the switch to the new Fralin bridge pickup.

Lindy, Matt here in Toronto. Ordered direct from your company by phone. Very nice experience. You, your small company feel and your staff have all delivered an exceptional experience, not to mention an exceptional bridge pick-up for my Tele. The pick-up arrived safe and nicely packaged. Used your suggested treble bleed, also had the control panel reversed, so the volume knob is closest to the picking hand. Using a Fender Super Champ tuber and I can’t say enough about the quality of the sound. Rich, bright, deep, just awesome addition to my guitar.
Thanks for delivering everything your website claims and more.
You guys/gals rock! -
Fat and Gorgeous
This pickup is truly unbelievable. It’s fat, mean, thick and still Tele. How’s that possible??!! -
Sounds Great! Really nice blend of power, clarity and definition, with punchy mids and highs that aren’t at all harsh. Still retains that distinct Tele sound.
-
I have an ASAT Bluesboy; I put a Split Steel Pole in the bridge position, a stock wound Twangmaster in the neck position, with a 300k volume pot and a blender pot instead of a tone control. My mind is blown; I can’t stop smiling when I play it.
-
I like this pickup, it sounds killer. My only complaint is the plastic mold around the top mounting screw seperated at the middle during installation. I have never had this problem before until I worked with this plastic. Perhaps it was my inexperence but a little shocked to see this none the less. The protective tape surrounding the windings also moved slightly exposing it. I used a small washer to force the plastic to stay level with the screw installed to the bridge plate. Pickup still works and sounds great so it still deserves 5 stars.
-
Awesome! I do like this pickup! Just what I was looking for. Nice punch. Yet holds it’s throaty integrity like a Tele should. Thanks for a great buying experience…looking forward to the next one, Best Regards Rick.

I have a G&L Bluesboy Tele with a Gibson BurstBucker 1 in the neck. It was muddy sounding and bothersome in an otherwise fantastic guitar. The fix for my problem was changing to 500 k pots and throwing the stock split steel pole in the bridge. I believe it’s the Bluesboy perfected- great neck, bridge and middle position sounds. And hum free in all positions! Truly an amazing pickup. I also fitted a Fralin magic cap and am pleased with the results. Thanks Lindy for taking time to talk about my options. And your staff is awesome.

I play a Grosh Chambered Tele Classic with the Split Steel Poled bridge and the Twangmaster Neck pups. The combination is absolutely fantastic. What I like best about these two pickups is the articulation of each strings tone, whether clean or gritty. I have the luxury of comparing the Fralin pups with other designs in my other tele’s, and this Grosh is quickly becoming my go-to performance guitar because of the sweet articulation of these pickups. Even in driven mode they are sooooo compatible. The only problem is that the more I play these pickups, the less I play my other guitars. Really impressed.
-
Perfect match! I bought the high output version for a Tele project and matched it with one of Lindy’s Pure P.A.F. pickups in the neck position. Great tone within it’s own personality and a perfect match with the other great pickup. Very pleased! Thank you guys.
-
Couldn’t be happier! Massive tone that completely complements the Blues Special I have in the neck. Perfectly matched in volume. It’s Neil and the Horse all over again…

I’m using this in the bridge of my Crook T-Style, with 250k pots. It replaced a Florance NoCaster. I originally ordered the guitar with 2 humbuckers, but changed my order to the tele bridge when I started listening to more Brad Paisley. My band doesn’t play country, so I’m really not sure what I was thinking!? (I also replaced the humbucker in the neck with a Fralin Twangmaster, in order to get a single coil sound; I don’t really have an explanation….) The NoCaster was “tele” but beefy, this SSP is “P90.” Huge midrange. No hum at all. It’s detailed, complex, and articulate, while shaving a bit of the “tele” off the top to fit multiple styles a little better.
The best way to describe the pickup is super fat tele, without the tele signature bite. It has top end bite, but not that specific tele bite. This is exactly what I wanted, I needed a bit more versatility, and I’m using a Tone King Majesty, which has plenty of top end itself!
Lindy called me and suggested this when I submitted my original order for a Split Blade. I’m so glad he did, because I’ve been wildly happy with this pickup.
