Sound
How do they sound? Thick, dark, and quick to break up! Whether you play clean or dirty, you’ll be impressed by the massive midrange and smooth highs this set provides you. You’ll notice the compressed beefy tone and low-end growl, perfect for combining with other pickup designs, like a Humbucker or P90.
You can expect a less emphasized attack as the highs are smoother and darker than our Standard Tele sets, like our Blues Special, which features a more pronounced pick attack. Due to this set’s compressed, thick nature, you can expect to move away from the tone of the Telecaster. With distortion, you’ll notice a smooth grind that will transform your Tele into a real tonal powerhouse.
Are you looking for a Hum Cancelling Tele pickup that actually sounds like a Tele? Check out the High Output Model of our Split Blade Tele Pickups
It all starts here: Our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Our High Output Tele Pickups consist of locally-stamped fiberboard and USA-Made Alnico 5 Magnets – in fact, 100% of the High Output Tele set is USA-Made, including every part.
We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time, and wind each pickup using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This gives the pickup a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to prevent microphonics and to preserve the pickup for years to come.

Hey folks! This is my second Fralin Tele bridge pickup. About ten years ago a bought a set of Callaham / Fralin Tele pickups and I’ve loved them ever since. When it came time to piece together partscaster I wanted something a little more aggressive and the good folks at Fralin directed me towards the High Output Tele bridge. I was a little nervous because I hadn’t liked too many overly hot pickups because they usually sound too mid forward, many are overly compressed and lack dynamic and harmonic complexity. Let me assure everyone, that isn’t the case with this. While the High Output shares many of the Callaham / Fralin bridge like dynamics, and instantly addictive it differs from the Callaham / Fralin because it’s not as scooped in the mids and it has a tendency to break up a little faster; exactly what I was looking for. If I have to choose one word to describe the High Output I’d have to go with “more”. Take what you love from Fralin Tele pickups and just add more. Like the Callaham / Fralin Tele bridge pickup it twang and deliver nice sparkling cleans but once you goose it it’s like parting while on your second bottle of mescal, it’s dirty, mean and it’ll start to pick fights with P90s. Great stuff.

My Experience with Fralin Pups started with 2 Custom Teles i Built for a Proffessional Muso of 55 years experience , and you guessed it He wanted the “HOLY GRAIL” and He is rather Picky . We tried a couple of other Brands (wont Name) and were really let down by them , my brother was using Fralins in a Custom Shop Strat and passed on his Descriptions that seemed like something from the Heavens . Now we have 2 x Teles that sound like there from Heavens, 1 with Blues Model and 1 with High Output . The High Output Pups Gets all the Stage attention as they are in a Light weight Workhorse for Gigging . Listening Live alongside other Guitars…….THEY SHINE……., play softer they dont go Soggy …….. Punch it up and they respond and Live . Sound is very Pleasing and for anyone tryin to calm down the “Tele Twang” or just looking for some high quality change to your Tone. YA GOTTA TRY THESE THINGS
